Workshop Description

You’re experienced in bone plating, and you’ve treated your share of cruciate ligament ruptures with Extracapsular suture stabilization. You’re wondering … are you ready for TPLO?  … does it make sense for your patients who won’t/can’t accept a referral?  There’s only one way to find out … come learn about the concepts, fundamentals and techniques of the TPLO.

TPLO is a proven technique to treat the diseased cranial cruciate ligament in dogs of all sizes.  TPLO stabilizes the stifle dynamically by eliminating cranial tibial thrust during weight-bearing. In this specially designed introductory course, you’ll learn the rationale for TPLO and the fundamentals of the TPLO technique.  You will perform stifle arthrotomy, meniscal treatment and TPLO using plastic bone models and cadaveric specimens.
