Workshop Description
We understand fracture repair can be intimidating, and it is often easiest to refer your patients to a specialist. Unfortunately, there are those times when a referral isn’t an option and now may be your chance to be a hero for your client. This hands-on workshop is a perfect opportunity to learn the skills that will help you save a few limbs in 2023!
Workshop Objectives
Since the fractures of the femoral shaft are so common, that will be our focus in this year’s workshop. You will prepare for this hands-on training by completing approximately 3 hours of online course work before coming to Orlando. Once on-site for the workshop, our friendly, helpful, “no attitude” instructors will guide you as you learn the IM pin, cerclage wiring and bone plating principles & techniques for the femur. You’ll return to your practice knowing how to perform surgical treatment for many femoral shaft fractures as well as when (and when not to) apply your new skills!
