Workshop Description

Disease or injury of the hip joint is common in both dogs and cats. Legg-Perthes, slipped capital femoral epiphysis (often a delayed diagnosis in cats), canine hip dysplasia (laxity-stage and osteoarthritis-stage), traumatic luxation … the list goes on! Some of those may warrant referral to specialist surgeon, but others may not … or referral may not always be feasible. This blended (online + hands-on) CE training is just what you need!

You’ll begin by enjoying informative and practical online lectures that will prepare you for your onsite hands-on training on plastic bone models and cadavers. Our friendly and engaged instructors will guide you every step of the way and provide practical tips as you work with modern instrumentation and implant designs that will make your surgical treatments simpler than ever before! Review of your postoperative radiographs and clinical case discussions will put everything into context as you learn postoperative care and strategies to reduce complications.

You’ll return to your practice ready to perform these practical surgical techniques when referral to a specialist isn’t needed or simply isn’t an option.
