The instability of the canine stifle due to a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament is commonly seen in small animal practices. This highly practical workshop is designed to improve your understanding of this procedure and techniques required to surgically manage patients with torn CCL, to bring stability back to your patient with confidence.

Course Description

The instability of the canine stifle due to a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament is commonly seen in small animal practices. This highly practical workshop is designed to improve your understanding of this procedure and techniques required to surgically manage patients with torn CCL, to bring stability back to your patient with confidence.

Delegates will have the opportunity for hands-on practice of the taught techniques on cadavers in the afternoon wet-lab. At the conclusion, delegates should feel confident in managing patients with ruptured cranial cruciate ligament.

Course Objectives

At the end of this workshop delegates should be able to:

  • Improve your arthrotomy technique and meniscal treatment

  • Review advances in extracapular prosthetic placement and isometry

  • Perform an extracapsular stabilistion with expert guidance
