Join us on August 11th for our Laryngeal Paralysis NSW workshop sponsored by Knight Benedikt at VetPartners Veterinary Training Centre, Sydney, Australia!
This one-day workshop will address the challenges faced when presented with a dog affected by laryngeal paralysis. This course will aid both your medical and surgical decision making in these often-urgent cases, as well as pre- and post-operative management.

Course Description
You will learn about the pathophysiological changes associated with laryngeal paralysis and the surgical techniques currently recommended to treat these cases including emergency stabilisation and temporary tracheostomy, arytenoid lateralization and partial laryngectomy.
Delegates will have plenty of opportunity to practice surgical techniques in a wet-lab setting.
Course Objectives
At the end of this workshop delegates should be able to:

Evaluate laryngeal function of the dog

Become familiar with surgical anatomy of the canine larynx

Perform temporary tracheostomy and arytenoid lateralisation.
Value to Your Practice
This course will aid both your medical and surgical decision making in these complex and often urgent cases, as well as pre- and post-operative management of patients with airway compromise and the pitfalls and complications to try and avoid.
Learning the techniques involved at this hands-on workshop will allow you to offer this service to your clients.
