Designed to provide specialists who are currently performing Biomedtrix and Kyon THRs with the most current evidence based approach to identifying, avoiding and managing the challenges encountered with the total hip replacement procedure.  The symposium will include both presentations and case studies and will allow for small group discussion.

Nestled on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, the symposium venue offers not only an outstanding educational experience but also breathtaking views of the crystal clear waters of the Whitsunday Islands and the opportunity to connect with friends and colleagues.

Course Description

Join the Practical CPD team for our inaugural specialist event – the Total Hip Replacement Symposium.  

Set amidst the pristine beauty of Hamilton Island on the 7th and 8th of November 2024 and presented by the world-renowned international orthopaedic specialist – Dr Terri Schiller, DVM, CCRT, DACVS, one of the global leaders in total hip replacement surgery and education. 

Designed to provide specialists who are currently performing Biomedtrix and Kyon THRs with the most current evidence based approach to identifying, avoiding and managing the challenges encountered with the total hip replacement procedure.  The symposium will include both presentations and case studies and will allow for small group discussion.

  • The difficult femur: Malunions and sclerotic femurs

  • The future of total hip replacement

  • Total knee replacement (TKR)
