Description

A half-day introductory workshop focusing on the practical application of the VetKISS Micro Plating System. Using a case-based approach, implants and instruments compatible with the 1.0 mm, 1.4 mm and 1.6 mm sets will be reviewed to understand system nuances and clinical applications. Hands-on sessions will allow participants to reinforce techniques presented in lectures through exercises using bone models and exercises in a dry lab setting.

This workshop is designed for surgeons experienced with locking plate technology. Lectures and labs will focus specifically on the unique attributes of the VetKISS Micro Plating System.


Learning Objectives

  • Learn the application techniques and unique aspects of the VetKISS Micro Plating System.
  • Recognize potential applications for small mammal and avian patients.
  • Understand the application of the VetKISS system to metatarsal and metacarpal fractures in large breeds.
  • Acquire the necessary skills to achieve consistent and successful clinical outcomes.
  • Gain knowledge to proactively identify and mitigate potential technical mistakes and complications.
