Workshop Description

Following the KYON Total Hip Replacement Workshop, the next step for you is completing the KYON THR Skill Assessment. The aim is to gain more wet lab practice, before proceeding to clinical cases (for details, please refer to the KYON THR Education Pathway).

A minimum of 3 wet lab cases must be performed. 2 of these cases will have to be approved.

This KYON THR Training Session gives you the unique opportunity to practice further wet lab cases and the chance to complete the KYON THR Skill assessment within a four-days workshop under close supervision of KYON THR experts.

If you pass the THR Skill Assessment within this workshop, you will be eligible to purchase standard-size THR implants for your first two clinical cases.

The KYON THR Training Session & Skill Assessment saves you the effort to organize your own wet lab cases in your clinic and enables you to proceed more quickly in the KYON THR Education Pathway. 

NOTE: You must have already completed the KYON Total Hip Replacement Workshop before attending this workshop.

Workshop Objectives

Within this workshop, participants will enhance their skills and gain confidence in the THR procedure in intensive wet lab surgeries.

The successful completion of the THR Skill Assessment within this workshop makes surgeons eligible to purchase standard-size THR implants for the first two clinical cases.

Prerequisites

This workshop is appropriate for orthopedic surgeons with at least five years of experience in surgical procedures and with good knowledge and practice of infection prevention.

Completion of the KYON: An Introduction to THR Online Course and the KYON Total Hip Replacement Workshop is mandatory before attending the workshop.
