Workshop Description

 

Joint injury and subsequent instability is a common problem in pets and athletes subjected to excessive trauma. Joint instability leads to poor function and osteoarthritis.

This workshop will discuss the diagnosis and treatment of common sports-related injuries including hip dislocation, collateral ligament injury, Achilles tendon injury, tarsal luxation, shoulder instability, and stifle injury

Workshop Objectives

In this two-day workshop, hip instability will also be discussed, focusing on the diagnosis, decision-making, and treatment. Following the lecture and case review, participants will work on plastic bone models and cadavers. Postoperative radiographs will be taken to evaluate the participants' surgical technique. Prerequisites

This workshop is appropriate for specialists and general practitioners who have an interest in improving their orthopedic knowledge and skills.
