Join us on March 7-8th 2024 for the Perineal and Urogenital Surgery workshop sponsored by Kahuvet at The Kahuvet Education Center in Auckland, New Zealand!

This two day workshop will cover the anatomy of the perineal region and potential complications of performing surgery in this region. Different surgical procedures for the urogenital tract will also be discussed, including decision-making for surgery, and management of these cases both before and after surgery.

Course Description

Conditions involving the perineum and urogenital tract are common in small animal practice. The practical component of the course will allow you to perform various methods of perineal hernia repair, anal sacculectomy and episioplasty, as well as surgery of the urogenital system including canine scrotal urethrostomy, cystotomy and nephrectomy.

Course Objectives

At the end of this workshop delegates should be able to:

• Improve your knowledge of perineal anatomy and learn how to safely approach the region surgically

• Learn different methods of reconstructing the pelvic floor

• Confidently perform surgery of the urogenital system
