Join us on April 17th 2026, for our Brachycephalic Surgery Wet-lab NSW workshop sponsored by Knight Benedikt at the Advanced Centre for Education (ACE), Sydney, Australia!
This one-day workshop will address the challenges faced when presented with a dog with Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome. It will aid your surgical decision making in these complex and often urgent cases. You will learn about the anatomical and pathophysiologic changes associated with BOAS and the surgical techniques to correct them, as well as pre- and post-operative management for these compromised patients.
Key Skills:
At the end of this workshop delegates should be able to:
- Make decisions on management of dogs with airway obstruction, including pre-operative management
- Confidently perform oro-pharyngeal and laryngeal examinations on brachycephalic dogs
- Learn and apply the principles of brachycephalic surgery and know when surgery is indicated
- Confidently perform temporary tracheostomy, using a plain ET tube
