Workshop Description
The course with cadaver lab is focused on the surgical treatment of the most common diaphyseal fractures by means of Open Reduction and Plate Fixation following AO principles. The course allows the participants to “hands on” on cadaver and put in practice what they learnt in the AOVET Principles Course.
The primary goal of this course is to enhance the surgical skills and knowledge of practicing veterinarians, residents, and interns in the management of small animal long bone fractures.
This course is designed to build on the foundational knowledge from the AOVET Principles Course, facilitating deeper understanding and practical application through interactive discussions and evaluations of post-operative radiographs
Target Audience:
Enrollment is open to practicing veterinarians, as well as veterinary residents and interns with some experience in orthopedic surgery. Participants should have previously attended the AOVET Principles Course, as familiarity with the concepts and techniques covered will help them better absorb the material presented.
