This hands-on dry-lab workshop is designed to give veterinary nurses the confidence and practical skills to deliver safe and effective anaesthesia. Participants will build a strong understanding of anaesthetic fundamentals, learn how to recognise and manage common complications, and develop the confidence to respond to emergencies.

Course Description

By the end of this course, participants will be able to confidently prepare and plan for anaesthesia, including appropriate drug selection and patient assessment. They will learn to monitor patients effectively and recognise abnormalities early, as well as identify, prevent, and respond to complications such as hypotension, apnoea, hypothermia, and bradycardia. The workshop also emphasises effective communication within the veterinary team to ensure safe anaesthetic practices and improved patient outcomes. Attendees will leave with practical, hands-on skills they can immediately apply in their clinical work for real-world impact.
