Join us on August 14 for the Essential Skills in Emergency and Critical Care for Veterinary Nurses workshop sponsored by Kahuvet at The Kahuvet Education Center in Auckland, New Zealand!
Emergencies can present at any time or day to any practice and this workshop will give veterinary nurses and technicians the skills and confidence to accurately and confidently identify life threatening scenarios, and implement the nursing care appropriate to these patients and their specific needs.

Key Skills:
- Initial assesment and triage of emergency/sick patients, including recognition of life threatening condtions and how to recognise subtle warning signs.
- Placement and management of indwelling devices (including urinary catheters, nasal oxygen catheters, feeding tubes)
- Nursing considerations and care for ECC patients
Value to Your Practice
Attending this workshop will enable vet nurses to increase their skills and confidence when administering anaesthesia and analgesia to everyday patients, from young and healthy animals to those compromised by disease, to emergency patients. The nurses will be taught the RECOVER CPR guidelines, the first true evidence-based CPR guidelines for vet professionals.
