Join us on April 11-12th for our Arthrodesis: Carpal & Tarsal workshop sponsored by Knight Benedikt at VetPartners Veterinary Training Centre, Queensland, Australia!
This two-day workshop will give attendees confidence in identifying and treating cases of carpal and tarsal derangement within their own practice. They will develop decision making skills to help ascertain when arthrodesis is appropriate and learn how to manage possible complications.

Course Description
On each day In the morning lectures, participants will gain confidence identifying cases they can treat themselves versus those that should be referred for “someone else’s headache”. In the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to practice performing arthrodesis on cadavers.
Key Skills
- Learn the fundamentals of performing arthrodesis, including joint preparation, grafting and fixation techniques
- Develop key decision-making skills including where arthrodesis is preferable to joint reconstruction, identifying high risk factors, avoidance and management of complications
- Discover ways to differentiate those cases where partial rather than pan-joint arthrodesis can be used to maintain more normal function
Value to Your Practice
Attendees will gain confidence in identifying and treating carpal and tarsal derangement within their own practice. The surgical skills they learn can be applied to appropriate cases and they will feel more certain in identifying cases they can manage within their practice.
