Workshop Description

Patellar Groove Replacement (PGR):

The PGR implant system is a unique solution to address the condition of patellar luxation where the kneecap dislocates from its normal location in the patellar groove. It is the first and only implant on the market to restore a functional patellar groove.

Proximal Abducting Ulnar Osteotomy (PAUL-II):

The PAUL procedure involves an osteotomy of the proximal portion of the ulna. A specially designed ALPS PAUL-II plate is fixed to impose a corrective limb alignment, aimed at unloading the medial compartment. This new alignment unloads the medial compartment, alleviating lameness.

This workshop combines learning the PGR and ALPS PAUL-II procedures online with practicing the procedures in workshop with immediate feedback from the experts Otto Lanz and Joseph Glennon.

The workshop booking includes enrollment in the online courses "KYON: An Introduction to PGR" and "KYON: An Introduction to PAUL-II" approx. four weeks before the workshop, and online courses must be completed before workshop attendance. The workshop will focus on the practical exercises.
