This full-day workshop designed for veterinary surgical technicians will allow participants to familiarize themselves with the technician’s role in the BioMedtrix Total Hip Replacement procedure.

Course Description
The Total Hip Replacement for Veterinary Surgical Technicians Workshop will provide a full day of hands-on instruction. Participants of this workshop will learn recommended pre-op and post-op patient care, how to take well-positioned x-rays, surgery-day preparation, and responsibilities including proper patient clipping, positioning, and draping for THR. Additional topics will include Inventory Management as well as suggested communication and relationship-building with both pet parents and the referring veterinarian. Course participants will also have the opportunity to experience both sides of the operating table, along with time for Q&A throughout three THR procedures; Cemented, Cementless, and a Hybrid THR.
Prerequisites
This workshop is intended for surgical technicians.
CE Credits - RACE Approved
This course meets the requirements for 8 CE Credit hours of continuing education in jurisdiction which recognizes AAAVSB RACE approval.
Movora provides all equipment and materials for each course.
