This is a half day hands on workshop from 7:30am to 11:00am.
Workshop Description
In this session we will review the indications, surgical technique and complications associated with medial patella luxation repair. Tibial tuberosity transposition, imbrication, medial release, and recession as well as abrasion trochleoplasty techniques will be presented. A short lecture will be followed by hands-on laboratory for you to perform these techniques with supervision, using equipment provided by the Movora company.
Workshop Objectives
- Update their knowledge on practical surgical techniques and procedures related to the treatment of patella luxation
- Gain a better knowledge of the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and introductory treatment of patellar luxation
- Better understand how to perform each surgical technique through extensive use of case studies, lectures, lab manuals, and hands-on laboratory practice. ·
- Gain the confidence and ability to perform orthopedic surgery procedures in their own practice.

Prerequisites
This workshop is appropriate for specialist and general practitioners who are proficient with extracapsular and basic fracture repair and have an interest in advancing their orthopedic knowledge and skills.
CE Credits - RACE Approved
This workshop has been approved for 8 continuing education credits in jurisdiction which recognizes AAAVSB RACE approval.
