Learning Objectives

In this dry lab laboratory, participants will:

• Understand the concept of KBLO versus other reported procedures to manage Excessive Tibial Plateau Angle (eTPA)
• Measure Tibial Plateau Angle (TPA) on a plastic bone model with eTPA using vPOP-Pro orthopedic templating software
• Make a virtual plan to correct TPA by Kinetic Biomechanical Leveling Osteotomy (KBLO) to 5 degrees of slope using vPOP-Pro orthopedic templating software
• Execute the plan on plastic bone models
• Discuss pros and cons of KBLO versus other reported techniques to address eTPA
• Be able to apply KBLO in clinical patients with eTPA
