In this practical wet lab, we will take the Novice Veterinary Surgeon through the surgical approach to the stifle, management of meniscal injuries and stabilization of the stifle with the OrthoSta extra-capsular knotless suture system on plastic bone and anatomic specimens. Participants will be able to take these new skills back to their practice immediately and have a positive impact on their patients' lives. Some pre-course fundamental course work will be provided to enhance the learning experience.Following lecture and case review, participants will perform all these different techniques on cadavers and plastic bone models.
Postoperative radiographs will be taken to assess the participant's repair technique. Postoperative management will also be discussed.
